Explosion-Proof Fans

Explosion-proof axial and centrifugal fans, 220–18,000 m³/h, 70–1,100 W, 220 / 380 V, for oil & gas, chemical and paint-shop environments. Final selection is confirmed at the duty point (airflow / static pressure / voltage / control mode) and by project verification.

Filters use nameplate maximum values (max airflow at zero static pressure, max static pressure at zero airflow). Check the actual operating point on the performance curve of each model.

Explosion-Proof Fans — selection guide

Explosion-Proof Fans: 31 models, maximum airflow 220–18,000 m³/h, AC motors, across 5 series.

Explosion-proof fans for hazardous areas: LWEX-AF axial fans, LWEX-WF and LWEX-WFS wall fans, LWWEX-OR roof fans and the LWSFPEX centrifugal unit, 220 to 18,000 m³/h with 70–1,100 W motors on 220 / 380 V. Motors and construction are matched to the zone and gas group of the installation and certified per configuration.

How to select from this range

  1. Define the hazardous-area zone and gas / dust group first; it fixes the motor protection concept and materials.
  2. Select the duty point as for any fan, then confirm the Ex rating with our engineers — certificates are issued per configuration.
  3. Specify spark-resistant construction (AMCA 99 type A / B / C) where the application requires it.

Where these fans are used

  • Oil & gas facilities
  • Chemical and pharmaceutical plants
  • Paint booths and solvent stores
  • Battery and hydrogen facilities

Every figure above is measured on our own test rigs per AMCA 210 / ISO 5801 methods — see the test labs and certificates. Final selection is confirmed at the duty point and by project validation.

FAQ — Explosion-Proof Fans

Which explosion-proof fan types are available?

Axial (LWEX-AF), wall (LWEX-WF / WFS), roof (LWWEX-OR) and centrifugal (LWSFPEX) formats, 220–18,000 m³/h. The model code LWWEX-OR-3A-0.14-2P gives the size class, motor power in kW and pole count.

Are spark-resistant impellers available?

Yes, non-sparking impeller and housing combinations are offered for applications that require them; state the AMCA 99 construction type with your enquiry.

What is the lead time for explosion-proof fans?

Standard configurations ship in 15–30 days; certified special versions on request.
