EC Cooling Fans — selection guide
EC Cooling Fans: 33 models, frame sizes 60–254 mm, maximum airflow 11–890 m³/h, static pressure to 251 Pa, EC motors, across 10 series. 7 of them carry a measured P-Q curve and 33 a dimensional drawing.
EC cooling fans (LWAE) put a brushless motor with integrated electronics on a 100–240 V universal AC input, so equipment for any mains voltage uses one fan: frames 60, 80, 92, 120, 175, 200 and 254 mm (LWAE6025 to LWAE25489), 11 to 890 m³/h. They replace AC shaded-pole and capacitor fans in appliances, cabinets and heaters with lower consumption, speed control and a tacho or alarm output.
How to select from this range
- Use EC where the equipment ships worldwide — one 100–240 V fan replaces 115 V and 230 V AC variants.
- Speed control via 0–10 V / PWM lets the fan follow temperature demand and cut noise at part load.
- Choose the frame as for a DC fan; the electronics add 5–10 mm depth.
