Compact cooling fans and blowers keep electronics, power supplies, cabinets, chargers and battery packs within temperature limits. Frame sizes run from 25 to 200 mm for axial fans and Ø40–120 mm for DC centrifugal blowers, on 5 / 12 / 24 / 48 V DC, EC or AC platforms, with ball bearings for long life and options for PWM control, tacho signal and IP protection.

How to select a Cooling Fans & Blower

  1. Calculate the airflow from the heat load: Q (m³/h) ≈ 3 × heat (W) / ΔT (K) for air, then add resistance for filters and grilles.
  2. Pick the largest frame size that fits: a larger, slower fan moves the same air at much lower noise and higher service life.
  3. Use DC blowers where the air has to be pushed through a narrow channel or heatsink with high resistance; axial fans for open cabinets and panels.
  4. Specify the control interface — PWM, tacho, 0–10 V or alarm output — at the outset; it defines the motor electronics.
  5. Check service life at the real ambient temperature: L10 life halves for roughly every 10 K above the rated temperature.

How do I calculate the cooling fan airflow I need?

A practical estimate for air cooling is Q (m³/h) ≈ 3 × P (W) / ΔT (K), where P is the heat to remove and ΔT the allowed air temperature rise. Then add the resistance of filters, grilles and heatsinks and choose a fan whose curve covers that point.

Which frame sizes are available?

Axial cooling fans from 25 × 25 mm up to 200 mm, DC centrifugal blowers Ø40–120 mm and EC cooling fans Ø60–254 mm. Use the size buckets in this category to browse by frame size.

Are PWM control and tacho output available?

Yes. Most DC models can be supplied with PWM speed control, tacho (FG) signal or alarm (RD) output; EC models add 0–10 V control and fault feedback. The option is part of the model code — ask if the variant you need is not listed.

What is the service life of your cooling fans?

Ball-bearing models are rated 30,000–40,000 hours L10 at 40 °C depending on the series; the value is shown in the technical data of each model. Life shortens with temperature and dust load.

Do you support UL / CE requirements for equipment approval?

Fans are built with UL94 V-0 materials and CE / RoHS documentation; ETL-listed families are marked on the certifications page. Declarations for a specific model are issued on request.
