Rail Transit Fans

Ventilation fans for rail vehicles and stations, 1,600–3,320 m³/h, 0.5–2.2 kW: vehicle air conditioning, saloon ventilation and platform exhaust. Final selection is confirmed at the duty point (airflow / static pressure / voltage / control mode) and by project verification.

Filters use nameplate maximum values (max airflow at zero static pressure, max static pressure at zero airflow). Check the actual operating point on the performance curve of each model.

Rail Transit Fans — selection guide

Rail Transit Fans: 11 models, maximum airflow 1,600–3,320 m³/h, static pressure to 1,100 Pa, across 0 series.

Ventilation fans for rail vehicles and stations: LWBE(RT) EC and LWBA(RT) AC backward curved centrifugal fans in Ø280–355 mm for vehicle HVAC units and saloon ventilation, 1,600–3,320 m³/h with 0.5–2.2 kW motors, including 110 V vehicle-supply versions, built for vibration, temperature and continuous duty.

How to select from this range

  1. Specify the vehicle supply voltage and the vibration / shock class of the installation.
  2. Provide the duty point at the HVAC unit resistance; redundancy and speed control are normally required.

Where these fans are used

  • Metro and rail vehicle HVAC
  • Saloon ventilation
  • Station and tunnel exhaust

Every figure above is measured on our own test rigs per AMCA 210 / ISO 5801 methods — see the test labs and certificates. Final selection is confirmed at the duty point and by project validation.

FAQ — Rail Transit Fans

What does the (RT) in the model code mean?

RT marks the rail-transit version of the backward curved platform — LWBE(RT)280 is the EC Ø280 mm unit, LWBA(RT)320 / 355 the AC units — with vehicle-grade supply, vibration and documentation.

Do you provide rail project documentation?

Test reports and material declarations are provided per project; contact us with the specification.
