EC Axial Fans — selection guide

EC Axial Fans: 116 models, impellers Ø200–900 mm, maximum airflow 886–32,313 m³/h, static pressure to 1,140 Pa, EC motors, across 13 series. 73 of them carry a measured P-Q curve and 116 a dimensional drawing.

LWAE3G EC axial fans are the third-generation platform with a bionic blade profile and integrated EC motor: 0–10 V / PWM speed control, speed or fault feedback and high part-load efficiency, Ø200 to Ø900 mm. Sizes Ø200–450 mm run on 220 / 230 V single-phase (Ø200 alone has 20 variants), sizes Ø500–900 mm on 380 / 400 V three-phase. IP54 is standard, IP55 available, ambient −25 to +60 °C.

The EC line shares mounting dimensions with the AC line, so it is the usual upgrade for condenser pressure control, night set-back and BMS integration, with about 30% lower consumption at part load — more where the duty varies strongly, confirmed against the load profile.

How to select from this range

  1. Select at the maximum duty and let the controller pull speed down: an EC fan sized with 10–25% margin spends most of its life at 60–80% speed where efficiency is highest.
  2. Choose 0–10 V for BMS and condenser-pressure controllers, PWM for equipment controllers; both are on board.
  3. For redundancy in fan arrays use several smaller EC fans rather than one large one; each has its own fault output.
  4. Three-phase 380 / 400 V from Ø500 mm upward; single-phase 230 V below.
