DC Cross Flow Fans — selection guide

DC Cross Flow Fans: 160 models, impellers Ø30–150 mm, maximum airflow 27–2,500 m³/h, static pressure to 320 Pa, DC motors, across 114 series.

DC cross flow fans (LWCD) on 12 V and 24 V are the largest cross flow line — 160 models from Ø30 to Ø150 mm and 90 to 1,200 mm long — for appliances, vehicles and low-voltage equipment where a wide, quiet air stream must be speed-controlled by voltage or PWM. 24 V is the majority (114 models), 12 V the appliance and automotive supply (46 models). This is the ETL-listed cross flow line (Intertek control no. 5022563).

How to select from this range

  1. Choose 24 V for industrial and HVAC equipment, 12 V for appliances and vehicles.
  2. Use PWM control and the tacho output to integrate with the appliance controller.
  3. Length follows the discharge opening; noise is dominated by tip speed, so a longer impeller at lower speed is quieter.

Where these fans are used

  • Air conditioner indoor units with DC control
  • Vehicle and RV ventilation
  • Battery-cabinet cooling
  • Appliances and displays

Every figure above is measured on our own test rigs per AMCA 210 / ISO 5801 methods — see the test labs and certificates. Final selection is confirmed at the duty point and by project validation.

FAQ — DC Cross Flow Fans

Are the DC cross flow fans ETL listed?

Yes, the LWCD 12 / 24 / 48 V line is ETL listed to UL 507 / CSA C22.2 No. 113 under Intertek control no. 5022563; scans are on the certifications page.

What control do the DC cross flow fans offer?

Voltage control across the rated range, PWM input and tacho output; the wiring diagram on each model page shows the leads.
