Mixed Flow Fans

Mixed flow (diagonal) fans combine axial airflow with centrifugal pressure capability, suited to medium-resistance duct runs. Final selection is confirmed at the duty point (airflow / static pressure / voltage / control mode) and by project verification.

Filters use nameplate maximum values (max airflow at zero static pressure, max static pressure at zero airflow). Check the actual operating point on the performance curve of each model.

Mixed Flow Fans — selection guide

Mixed Flow Fans: 32 models, impellers Ø100–400 mm, maximum airflow 410–7,100 m³/h, static pressure to 168 Pa, AC and EC motors, across 16 series.

Mixed flow (diagonal) duct fans use an impeller between axial and centrifugal geometry: axial-style airflow with a centrifugal pressure component, in an inline casing from Ø100 to Ø400 mm (4 to 16 inch), 410–7,100 m³/h. Each size is offered as an AC pair (LWDA) and an EC pair (LWDE) in 110–120 V and 220–240 V, so the same fan is quoted for 60 Hz and 50 Hz markets. They are the choice for long runs, several bends or fine filters at a given duct size.

How to select from this range

  1. Choose mixed flow when a standard inline fan of the duct size cannot reach the pressure of the run.
  2. Select 110–120 V for North America, 220–240 V for Europe and Asia; both versions exist for every size.
  3. EC (LWDE) adds 0–10 V control for demand-controlled ventilation.

Where these fans are used

  • Long residential and office duct runs
  • Grow rooms with carbon filters
  • Booster duty behind filters
  • Workshop extraction

Curves marked “measured” come from our own test rigs per AMCA 210 / ISO 5801 methods; digitised catalogue curves are flagged as such in the selector — see the test labs and certificates. Final selection is confirmed at the duty point and by project validation.

FAQ — Mixed Flow Fans

What sizes are the mixed flow fans?

Ø100, 125, 150, 200, 250, 300, 350 and 400 mm (4–16 inch), each in AC and EC, 110–120 V and 220–240 V — 32 models.

Mixed flow or ultra-silent for a bedroom?

Ultra-silent for the lowest sound level at short runs; mixed flow where the run is long and pressure decides. Both are listed with sound pressure in the data table.
