Tube Axial Fans

Tube-cased axial fans for in-duct installation, combining airflow with a compact mounting length. Final selection is confirmed at the duty point (airflow / static pressure / voltage / control mode) and by project verification.

Tube Axial Fans — selection guide

Tube Axial Fans: 36 models, impellers Ø200–750 mm, maximum airflow 23–15,000 m³/h, static pressure to 3,690 Pa, AC motors, across 18 series.

Tube axial fans (LWMFAF, LWEAF and LWEA S(T)M) are axial or mixed-flow impellers in a cylindrical casing for in-duct installation, Ø200 to Ø750 mm. The LWMFAF mixed-flow tube fans develop 750–3,690 Pa total pressure — far more than an open axial fan — at the cost of sound levels of 87–95 dB(A), so they are used where pressure and compactness matter more than noise: process exhaust, drying, tunnels and booster duty.

How to select from this range

  1. Select on total pressure at the flange; the casing recovers velocity pressure that an open fan loses.
  2. Plan silencers or remote mounting from the outset — these fans are loud.
  3. Match the casing length and flange to the duct standard on the drawing.

Where these fans are used

  • Process and kiln exhaust
  • Drying and paint-line ventilation
  • Tunnel and mine ventilation
  • Duct boosters

Curves marked “measured” come from our own test rigs per AMCA 210 / ISO 5801 methods; digitised catalogue curves are flagged as such in the selector — see the test labs and certificates. Final selection is confirmed at the duty point and by project validation.

FAQ — Tube Axial Fans

Why is the pressure of a tube axial fan so much higher than an open axial fan?

The LWMFAF units use a mixed-flow impeller and a diffuser casing, which adds a centrifugal pressure component and recovers velocity pressure; the LWEAF / LWEA S(T)M units are conventional cased axial fans in the lower part of the range.

Which voltages are available?

110–120 V (15 models), 220 V and 380 V three-phase; check the voltage filter for the size you need.
